Summer is here! The suns out and its time to get your golf on! We’ve had a lot of time to prepare for you (way too much time, thanks cold weather) and now we’re ready and waiting.
As the last layer of ice melts of the lake its time for Captain Jim to return home to Pirate Cove along with his trusty parrot Bocaza. He moors his boat The Mopey Duck, up the side of the lake and plants his first steps on dry land for a whole year for another exciting summer! Captain Jim sets us to work as soon as he arrives. There’s work to be done and no ones allowed to be slacking off or they’ll be walking the plank! We’ve already done so much and now all we need are some keen golfers and energetic boaters.
So what changes have we made?
Everywhere has a had a bit of spring cleaning – from the fountains to the castle. We have dusted and moped and scrubbed the decks. And now everything is shining like the brand-new treasure Captain Jim brought ashore with him (he’s hidden it somewhere in the castle. Try and spot it when you come!).
In April we started our summer family pass! This bargain £60 card gets a family of four unlimited golf until the very last day of July! This is great for families who want to do both course in one day and then come back for even more! Or even those couples who return a lot. Do you fancy playing golf all day every day? Or even even just 3 times between April and July. Then the summer pass is for you!

We’ve also been trying some new drinks and snacks for the summer. Most of our drinks

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! That’s right – our Kelly’s ice cream is back and in 8 delicious flavours. We’ve got the usuals such as: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and mint choc-chip as well as some special flavours including: rum & raisin, bubble-gum, cookies & cream and toffee fudge.

Captain Jim also brought along an extra crew member when he came back to Pirate Cove. A course host! We’ve been training up the course hosts over the last few months but now summer is approaching they’re getting ready for the real fun. These are special crew members who will be dealing out treasure for all those explorers out on the course. Need a photo taken? Lost a golf ball? A course host is the person for you – they’re here to help!
