Top Tips to Give You the Edge

Adventure golf is fun for the whole family. But it’s even better when you beat mum or dad and score a bunch of hole-in-ones along the way. But how do you get better at adventure golf? All it takes time, determination, and a few top tips. We’re here to tell you how you can improve your putting and win at mini golf with these golf putting tips.

Focus on the Basics

Putting is a part of golf and needs pretty much the same focus. Start by focusing on the basics. First off is learning how to hold the putter. Hold the club with your right hand below the left and don’t squeeze too tight. You want a firm grip but one that still lets you stroke the ball gently instead of hitting it.

Once you’ve got to grips with that, it’s time to look at your stance. Keep your feet flat on the ground so you are stable while putting. Keep your eye on the ball the whole time and use your shoulders to raise the and stroke the ball. Putting is all about precision. Practice these basics and you’ll see immediate improvement.

The Right Tool for the Job

Putter and ball

Another basic tip is to make sure you use a putter that fits. Putters come in all shapes and sizes. Find one that fits your hands sits only as high as your waist. Once you’ve got the perfect club you can take on any course, even ones packed with dinosaurs!

Stroke the Ball Gently

Adventure Experience golf courses are full of bends, banks, walls, dips, ramps and more. It usually only takes a gentle nudge in the right direction to get the ball zooming towards the hole. When hitting the ball think about the direction and stroke the ball in a nice, even arc. Pretend the ball isn’t even there. Just stroke and putt the ball. Practice this and you’ll find you have more control over the ball.

Study the Course

Putting techniques

Adventure course can be tricky but if you take a look at the hole and imagine how a ball will travel you can often find the secret to that hole-in-one. It’s all about overcoming the obstacles to reach the hole. Once you have a clear idea on how the ball will move, line it up and stroke the ball.

This technique is even easier if you’re not first to play. Keep an eye on how the other players try to play the hole. You can either copy their success or see where they go wrong and make adjustments. This can also make it easier to see any sneaky bumps and surprises.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Like with most sports, the easiest way to get better at it is to practice, practice, practice. The more you play, the better you’ll get. Who knows, you may even go on to become a world champion adventure golfer!
